Does anyone know what the Gen. Eds. are? Unfortunately, their website is not laid out well enough for me to find it. Can someone please link me to the page?

Also, can anyone tell me if time abroad is required for Business Management major?

The requirements may vary depending on what School you are in - for instance Tisch requires 8 hours Humanities, 8 hours Science, and 8 Humanities/Science – plus 8 hours of WTE. Science is everything from actual science to psychology, economics, etc. Humanities is languages, English, philosophy, art history, music, etc.

Ive had this trouble as well. The NYU website is not as user friendly as it was last year and previous years. Its so hard to find stuff and even the search engine is crap, sometimes not retrieving results for anything. Look for something called MAP (Morse Academic Plan…I think?) I believe MAP is what NYU chooses to call their core requirements. Theyre not too bad. But now I am confused off of what writesstuff54 said because I thought everyone had to do the same core…

No, writestuff is right. Core varies by school. Not sure if OP is a Stern student?

Some similarities based on some of the MAP requirements, but each school has its own particular set of core requirements.

Evolving:
Do you know where one would find the particular core requirements for each school if MAP is just a general outline?

citygirl,

You have to search for each school’s core requirements. Here are some I have found:

For post #8. Sorry hard to maneuver on IPad.

Tisch Film has a really nice print out of classes you would take over four years… Not sure if that is online, but try to find it. (I’m too lazy to, but I’ve seen it in the building.)
