Does anyone know if ENEE 200 "Social and Ethical Dimensions of Engineering Technology" fulfills any Gen Ed Requirement and, if so, which specific one? It seems like it could satisfy a humanities requirement.

Also, does anyone know if AP credit in "Human Geography" fulfills any diversity Gen Ed requirement?

No, ENEE200 does not fulfill any gen ed req. It only fulfills a core req (but assuming if you are asking, you are a freshman, so core does not apply to you - gen ed replaced core as of last year). Don’t worry - they will explain everything at oriention.

For that particular class (ENEE200), there is also a restriction of sophomore standing or higher. Try to take advantage of classes that are restricted to incoming freshman only since this is the only time you will be able to register for them. For example, in the humanities category, AMST203 (Popular Culture in America) is only available to freshman…I know nothing about this class, but am just using it as an example.

For gen ed classes offered this semester

just click on the gen ed category you want and all the options from all the departments come up. Each class will have a notation General Education: DSHU (or whichever category it fulfills) if it satisfies a gen ed req.

Yes, if you get a 4 or 5, Human Geography “fulfills one of the two Distributive Studies-History & Social Sciences and the Diversity-Cultural Competency requirement.”
