General Help!! best course of action

Ok now that i understand a little more of the application process i have been wondering about a couple of things
right now I am a junior and i am in honor classes
H. Physics
H. Calc
H. British Lit.
US2
Electives..
but i have no AP classes at all, even though my school does offer one to juniors( AP US2, which i did not take because I'm with the seniors in Calc which was at the same time as the AP, juniors take pre calc I'm the only exception so I gave it up)
I'm also taking one class at the private college near my school( Concepts of Biology)
My sat right now with no additional prep will probably be around the 1850-1950 range and I have atleast a 3.9+ gpa(unweighted) probably 4.0+ weighted and will the lack of APd have an adverse affect on me and if it would i can definitely self-study for APs and probably get good scores(3+ unless I'm being too cocky about my skills) i also take classes at a private college near my school so maybe that would balance the lack of APs,

So I just want to now at this moment is it better for my chances for me to start prepping for the SATs and get my score up to the minimum threshold for asians or should i self study APs and how many and then worry about the SAT in senior year?
I want to apply to ivy although its an uphill battle.

anyone?..

I would also like to know about this. Waiting for a response as well…

bump -_- …

Well my junior year I only took one AP class because of scheduling problems (and 3 honors classes). Senior year I again had scheduling issues and could only take 2 AP classes, one honors. I only took one AP test but I got into an Ivy league level college.

From my experience, it’d be better to bump up that SAT instead of studying for AP tests. Aim for 2250. Also, don’t put off the SAT until senior year (I did that, and the first part of senior year was miserable with ACT, SAT, SAT IIs…). If you weren’t happy with your score you wouldn’t have time to retake!

Final piece of advice, your gpa, rigor, and scores are only part of the application process. ECs play a huge role in admissions as well. It’s why perfect gpa and test score kids get rejected all the time. Don’t neglect your ECs!
