General Question About Study Abroad

I could probably find this on a website, but I'll ask you guys anyways.

For study abroad programs, do you have to have taken the native language at Duke? Are there programs that aren't language based besides obviously the ones in english speaking countries? Because I kind of just want to take my 3 semesters to get it over with and want to go to a program that appeals to me even if I'm not into the language classes.

Basically, how do they work generally?

Yes.

You don't have to go abroad through a Duke program -- and many times by not going through Duke, you can find a program in a country without ever having taken that language. It's just a matter of where you want to go and through whom... but yeah, you can take French three semesters and then do another program (not Duke) in Spain because it interests you, or whatever.
