generally speaking, which quads are the best ones?

im basically looking to avoid any blatant unpleasantness, whatever that might entail (an overt culture of loud music, booze, drugs, blah, blah, are “bad”).

me, im kind of a hippie i guess, im really open to everything
mathy person, majoring in econ maybe
like quiet (but perhaps bot 24/7 quiet, idk)
like tennis (h-quad and mendelsohn have close access)
in university scholars program
from nyc, am southeast asian (-american)

also, how difficult is it to “change” the new student preferences in solar?

If you submit them, you can change them up until May 1 – you just need to email us at enroll@stonybrook.edu. But after May 1, they lock.

That site gives you an idea of what each UGC is about.

@sbuadmissions Hi Chris. If Stony is my top school and I’m on the waitlist, is there anything I can do to increase my chances of getting in? My back up plan right now is Suffolk Honors (Joint Admissions) with which I will transfer to Stony after 2 years. I really want to be admitted for Fall 2015 and I’m really stressed right now. Also, when is the earliest time students will be pulled off the waitlist?

No, there’s nothing more at this point. We’re waiting on a few more pieces to fall into place before we make any waitlist decisions.

Chris

@sbuadmissions Can you give an estimated time frame on when students will be selected off the waitlist? From what I’ve read, last year some students were selected towards the end of April. Thanks for all the info! Really appreciate it

@sbuadmissions I’ve heard some students have been pulled off the waitlist already. Is this true?
And when is a good approximation of hearing back if you meet one requirement and not the other?

Thanks!!
