Generous charity work done by Broadway stars!

Sunday night was this year's Broadway Bares show, started and produced by Jerry Mitchell, which unfortunately I had to miss this year. A few friends were there and said it was one of the most fun they'd attended. Not only that but it broke the record for the amount of money raised for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. I'm sure that many of you and your theatre-loving kids are already aware of BC/EFA because you've probably donated while attending shows during their two fundraising drives each year, or from regular reading of Broadway and theatre publications and websites. They do wonderful work. This year's show raised $654,000 in one night! This is a cause which many of you kids will be involved in in the coming years, if you aren't already. BC/EFA has a great online store with lots of wonderful theatre related items and memorabilia. Here are a couple of articles and lots of photos of the event. Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing that, alwaysamom. The pictures were fun to look at. It must have been quite an event! And for a great cause.
