Yep. I did the state Geography Bee in 7th grade and missed the final round by one meteorology question.
I lost the school finals in 8th grade because I got a question about some highway in Zambia while the other guy got one about the capital of Mongolia (Ulan Bator). Completely unfair, I think.
Alas, I reclaimed my reign last year in the Geography Olympiad test by scoring a 38/40 (higher than any history teacher in the school =O). Trust me, the questions I got wrong were dumb ("What geographical feature in North America runs from Northern Canada to the Gulf of Mexico? Ans: Rocky Mountains... but the Rockies don't come close to the Gulf of Mexico...)

Toot your own hornage is fun.

Hey that was one of my questions...

My winning question was something about Nepal and something took place there for the first time in its capital city.. which is...

KATMANDU!.

Canada: 36/39
US: 146/150
South America: 34/39

Yeah, I don't want to take the tests corresponding to the parts of the world we haven't learned in class. Because my scores will be like. 3. I suck at geography :)

er i got about 1/150

My scores were horrible. In the USA, when it asked for Illinois, I clicked on Indiana lol.

And Europe was out of the question. I did do good in South America because I had to learn those countries last year in Spanish.

wow... I'm really bad.
I'm only posting a couple and those are still embarasing. When I got to Europe and Africa and Asia... I had no clue whatsoever...
The World: 33/36
USA: 130/150
Canada: 31/39

Canada: 28/39 :(
USA: 150/150
South America: 39/39
Europe: 117/117
Africa: X/162 (I just stopped, NO IDEA)
Asia: 89/90 :(
Australia: 21/24

TheVeganActress, you don't know all the states and you're in HS?!

I didn't even know Illinois was a state and that Montana was at the top

Imagine what would happen if we administered these sorts of tests to the general public. Yikes. 130/150 would be darn good.

Jonathon: I know the states... I was having trouble clicking on them on that thing. especially the eastern states which were way too small. if it had been a larger map I would have done better. and I was fine on the other geography game on here...

I'm curiousmother's eigth grader. I did a few of the easier-sounding quizzes and these were my scores
South America: 39\39
Africa: 134\162
Asia: 87\90
Australia: 18\24
Canada: 33\39
Central America: 39\42
Europe: 109\117
U.S.A.: 150\150 :)

World and Oceans: 36\36
