George Washington, American, and Washington University

These are my top 3 schools, and I'm hoping I have a chance of getting some merit scholarships at GW and American, but I'm not expecting any financial aid money at all. What are my chances of getting in/getting scholarships at these three schools?

Female
35 ACT
3.9 unweighted, 4.2 weighted GPA

Taken AP European History (4), AP English Lit (5), AP US Gov(5), AP Comparative Gov (5), AP Physics 1, AP Art History, AP Spanish 5, and many honors classes and college credit classes.

National Merit Semifinalist (probably Finalist), AP Scholar with Honor

In National Honor Society, been leader of Christian club for three years, have plenty of other extracurriculars and community service.

Did leadership institute at Washington University this summer, hoping that would increase my chances of getting in.

American is a low low safety I would aim a little higher! GW seems like a good fit!

As a GW alum, it looks like you have a great chance!

However, like I tell everyone else- you should really put some heart and soul into your essay. I think GW changed their format and let you answer one of four questions, aiming at getting to know you as an individual. Put a lot of thought into it, prof-read the heck out of it, and let 'em have it!

Good luck!
