**George Washington Transfer 2011 Thread**

hmm maybe they werent supposed to tell you because you’re supposed to see your decision first and then the financial aid package comes in the mail/email. this is making me kind of anxious…

do you think we will hear back tmrw? even though it’s a sunday? or will it be like Monday- Thurs kind of thing

i doubt we will hear back tomorrow. hopefully sometime next week

okay so I checked last year’s transfer thread and they got their decisions via mail starting around May 25th. so they found out not by checking online, but by the mail. ours should be earlier since last year they were a little behind with the freshman application process. i dont think itll be sunday, but maybe later this week or next week?

Still no word! I’ve checked online and just says under review.

Good luck everyone.

you too @EVANHOPEFUL i think you and I are the only ones on CC that have applied to elliott school and I believe we have around the same stats maybe you a tad bit higher!

I hope atleast I get in and you as well

do you guys think its mandatory to send mid semester grades because not all of my professors posted them. and has anyone already sent spring grades? they emailed me and said that they needed that before making a final decision? is that a good/bad sign? the wait is officially killing meeeeeeeeeeee.

@isharmie: I don’t think its necessary, but I guess if they requested them, it would probably be a good idea to send what you have. I haven’t received any emails requesting my Spring semester grades, but I contacted them in April to ask if they needed a mid semester report and they told me it wasn’t necessary for their decision.

I applied to Elliot; does anyone know if I’ll be evaluated against other Elliot applicants?

@isharmie When did you get that email requesting for Spring grades?

@jayfromla–yea, i think thats what usually happens!
@yankee13–i got the email Wednesday afternoon by an assistant director of admissions. he said that without the spring grades, they would not be able to make a final decision so he wanted me to send that asap. im wondering why no one else got this email and its making me kind of nervous…

@isharmie I wouldn’t worry it probably means that they are really considering you. What are your stats, intended major, and year you will be entering?

@yankee13–okay good, i really hope so! right now, I’m a freshman, (so I’ll be entering as a sophomore) at GMU with a 4.0 GPA so far and after this semester I will have 31 credits (not including the ones that came from AP exams). In high school, I had a 4.2 GPA (weighted) with a 1950 SAT score. and if you also wanted to know any honors/awards I got to include in those stats, I guess it would be secretary of NHS, spoke at graduation as a honor graduate, ap scholar with honor, and so on. My intended major as of right now is Biology/Premed in the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences, but I hope to apply for the Public Health major in my junior year. lol this is the game plan so far, so hopefully everything works out!

Okay got another email from the Asst Director of Admissions:

“Yes, the transfer review process just began. We do not begin to review transfers until after May 1 when we know how much space is available at the University. We hope to have transfer admissions decisions released by the end of May.”

I think thats just a confirmation of what everyone already knows, but still thought it would be semi helpful?

@ ellomeno thank you and keep the faith. Hopefully good news awaits.

@ the rest of you. Is anyone else current or former military? I would love to hear how your application process went…

@EvanHopeful I am a Veteran and am still waiting to hear back. This is horrible.

@isharmie I got the same email this morning asking for my final transcript…so we are in the same both. Hopefully, this is a good sign.

@yankee13–okay good, glad to hear that! yea, i hope this is good news!

Has nobody been accepted yet??
