I can’t sleep. I’m so nervous.
Georgetown must have sent the letters out by FedEx or UPS with specific instructions that they ALL arrive on Saturday.
If you get deferred don’t worry. It’s about a 15% acceptance rate for everyone who was deferred during the regular decision round. The early action at Georgetown is really selective and just because you don’t get in initially doesn’t mean you aren’t qualified.
@natalia_bnm girl, same. this is crazy. ik it’s pointless b/c it’s mail, not online, but !!! still
International student here: got my acceptance email last night!!! So excited… this year out of 7800 applicants only 12% wee accepted! Crazy
I’m an international and I haven’t gotten my email yet… so scared!
I see in USPS Informed Delivery a letter from Georgetown with .68 postage here in NY. I am praying that is a good sign.
Our mail comes so late in the afternoon. I signed up for USPS Informed Delivery but nothing shows up in my dashboard; maybe it takes a few days to fully work. We are supposed to be away all day today—the wait is excruciating ?
please post stats as you are accepted
Can you call the admissions office and find out if you were accepted if the letter doesn’t come in the mail today?
im at work until 8 today and i need to know so bad if i’m accepted or not
@unidreamer23 Accepted:
ACT: 32 (not superscore I took this in late October and was only able to send it in mid November. So I’m not sure if they even saw this score or not- but I sent it.)
SAT: 1390
SAT II: 750 Chemistry, 720 Math 2, 690 Biology M, US History 650
Have taken 9 APs (but didn’t send the exam grades as they didn’t ask for them)
And that’s really all I sent in terms of testing.
I’m posting this so that people know it’s OKAY to not have perfect stats like seen in most of these types of forums- you don’t need those to get in…
Other things than stats that also matter:
I did a lot of extracurriculars- leadership positions, and my interview went REALLY well- I texted my interviewer regarding the acceptance and she was overjoyed and so sweet. I did an internship over the summer at a global organization. My recommendations from teachers and counselor were great too. So yeah. Remember that if you have lower stats than some people, it doesn’t mean that you won’t get in. Or vice versa, if you have rlly high stats you’re not automatically in. Enough with this rant! I look forward to hopefully seeing you all at Georgetown next year! Best of luck to those that are waiting for their decisions.
@mdawg19 where are you from?
Congratulations mdawg19!! You rock ???
Where did the letter come from. Was it USPS, UPS, or FedEx. Please say FedEx, because there’s a truck down my block right now and I can’t take much more than this lol
@mdawg19
Congratulations!
Also interested in knowing how the acceptance letter was sent?!
Thank you
I’m an International student (Asian) applying from Italy. So, I got my acceptance letter through email! I believe that a letter will also be delivered but maybe in a few weeks haha. Can’t imagine waiting for the decision through mail- i got lucky! Best of luck all!!! Hope your letters come soon ?
I’ve never been more nervous for anything. waiting for my mail!
I should be studying for finals, but I’m just so anxious about the mailman coming …
Agreed. There was a huge storm here in NC last night too, so it’s possible the postal system is down ?
