What exactly does Georgetown want in the essays?

Do they want a real one page autobiography or can it be a personal narrative referring to a specific event?

For essay 1, I think you can write about pretty much anything you want, as long as you feel it describes you. If the specific event reveals something about you that the rest of the application doesn't (and I'm guessing it certainly does if you want to write an essay on it) go for it.

A one page autobiography would be a little dull and kind of unoriginal. If you feel you can really shine by doing it though, go for it. I think a narrative of an incident that illustrates who you are rather than stating it would probably be best.
But what do I know? I'm writing mine now...to mail tomorrow.
