Georgetown Biology/Neuroscience

Hi! I am a current junior in high school. Next year, I am thinking about applying to Georgetown.

When looking at the Fisk Guide and listening to a local information session, I noticed that the university really stressed their great programs in policy, but there was not that much information on their science programs. How are the bio/neuroscience/pre-med programs at Georgetown? Does anyone know the acceptance rate of Georgetown students to med school? How are Georgetown’s research opportunities for undergraduates?

Thanks!!

I don’t know that this means anything, but the science majors filled up first this year. If you were a science major on the waitlist they were saying no dice on getting in. Sounds pretty competitive to me. I think it is a great school for premed. The hospital is close by on campus. It’s stature is rising. Average SATs are going up, up, up. Study hard, show a passion for helping people and work like crazy to get/keep your class rank up. Good luck!
