Georgetown Chances? Will Chance Back!! :)

Here you go:

Junior at a top day/boarding college prep school. I attended an A-rate public school for freshman year, however, the classes there were WAY easier. Do colleges take this into consideration? For example, my easiest regular class sophomore year had MUCH more work than my hardest honors in freshman year.

B+/A- average unweighted (GPA is on a different scale)
AP classes not offered sophomore year, though the honors classes are almost on the same level. Junior year AP's: Chemistry, English Language, US History
Planned Senor year AP's: English Literature, US Gov't, Spanish V.

I don’t really understand your GPA but your other stuff looks good. Maybe you could retake the SAT since your highest score is writing which Georgetown doesn’t look at. I think you have extracurriculars that will look good because the app doesn’t give you many activities to write down and the ones you have are more than just random ones.

Thanks! If I had to guess, I’d say 3.8 uw and like 4.2 w but I’m not sure. Is 3 AP’s enough for senior year? Does the lack of awards hurt? Any other colleges you’d suggest? Preferably East Coast, good business program? I really appreciate it!!

I’m also super excited to be applying to their Entrepreneurship summer institute… would this help my resume?

That GPA is good enough but try to raise it. If you can take more than 3 APs and do well on them then go ahead and do it. I don’t know much about business so I can’t really help there. I would just recommend Wharton and Upenn although that is notoriously hard to get into. I’m not really sure what that summer institute thing is but it matches with business and if it’s hosted by Gtown then it will definitely help.

Your stats seem good and with a good essay I think you can get into georgetown, but I’m not very knowledgeable on chances. Your app seems better than mine.

Try to raise your SAT math score (i’m one to talk, I fail at SAT math). But either way, you certainly stand a chance. To be honest, I don’t really know about your chances-- none of us do. But you look good!
