@LunaHoyaGold just keep call…i don’t think constantly spamming your regional counselor vs. not spamming is any good indication of acceptance, if at all. we shall see though.

@curious Thank you so much! And she and I are very competitive, but she has been receiving seemingly special attention from Georgetown (a student was assigned to be her mentor, direct emails from deputy of admissions, etc.). Whenever I need information for sincere issues, she is extremely stubborn, so I give up.

I will say that I am not having a great experience applying to Georgetown because I am concerned for my lack of email correspondence. I have only received two very generic emails and one about the beauty of Georgetown in autumn.

Congrats butler1214!! Good luck to everybody! Hopefully we will hear tomorrow. No matter what happens I know we have all worked extremely hard over the last years to get to this point and whether accepted or deferred we should all be proud! Yay for us.

@luna i’ve only gotten those emails as well. i don’t know much about their process but i’m not wouldn’t necessarily take it as a sign of a deferral. i’m sure there are people that have only received those emails that will get accepted.

@butler1213 would you mind posting your stats?

On emails: we had a lengthy discussion on this last year and concluded that not getting emails didn’t matter. Also, if you’re away on vacation and won’t be able to get your letter, you’ll find out by email as in if you’re accepted you’re bombarded with emails about winter meet ups and other things.

anyone else object to the fact that georgetown’s email about autumn was addressed, “Dear future hoya”. i got really excited for a second, then read “we look forward to reading your application”. “potential hoya” is much more appropriate.

@ruxin1996 yes the “future Hoya” thing was depressing! it’s just setting us up for failure because 85 percent of us will in fact not be future hoyas.

Has anyone else received an acceptance/deferral letter besides @butler1213? Also does anyone know if they are mailing everything or if they are emailing also?

@ewigewig in past years people have said they both come in smallish (normal-sized) envelopes, but the acceptance letters have 3 sheets of paper because of financial aid information. i’m wondering if that’s the case this year, i don’t see why it would change

I live in Rockville, MD which is about 45 minutes away and I got into sfs. my acceptance was in a regular sized envelope. You can tell it’s an acceptance if it’s thick and you can see blue paper…that’s the financial aid information. This is so exciting! I’m not sure if anyone’s started a results thread…
