I didn’t tell anyone I applied to Georgetown at my school because I’m very private about all my college stuff. I have no idea how to keep my composure and not look like one of the biggest decisions of my life is waiting for me when I get home. :O

I’m the complete opposite. I am probs super obnoxious with all my college-related Facebook posts. Oh well. I think all my friends know what is waiting for me in my mailbox tomorrow. Gahhh

Well I’m sure my friends find my acceptance posts totally obnoxious too. If by some miracle I get into Georgetown and/or UChicago this week, they’ll probably want to revoke my FB privileges. Haha.

I have 2 exams tomorrow but can’t study because I’m so anxious. I’m going to be opening my letter 24 hours from now how am I supposed to focus???

i know this is hard to imagine…it’s really hard for me and I’m the one giving the advice, but QUE SERA whatever will be there’s a path in life and it may or may not be georgetown just remember that whatever happens it’s meant to be so try not to fret

@natvod optimism and positivity; let it pervade our thoughts.

Btw the actual song is “que sera sera” - what will be will be

Let’s all of us just keep singing it until Monday:

Do you think that if I don’t have any SAT II’s I don’t have any chance of getting in?

@sachsm Yes! I didn’t and I got in!

@sachsm…i don’t think that eliminates your chances completely, but they ARE required for EA according to GU. not having them will definitely affect your app; how much, no one can know for sure.

@neontissues they’re not required, just highly recommended. I didn’t take any but got accepted EA

That’s good to hear TaylorTiani . I didn’t take them either. Are they common on the East Coast? They don’t seem too common in the Midwest

most kids in my state (MA) take them along with SATs. they’re super common as most just take them in may or june right when they’ve completed their AP classes in corresponding subjects.

i am deferred…TAT…

Oh, gotcha. In IL, at least from my experience, most people take the ACT rather than SAT. There are probably some large suburban public schools that have SAT subject tests though.

@freckles12 they’re not common besides those attempting to get into the harder schools. Most people don’t take them.

Patiently waiting here in South Florida… If it’s not here by tomorrow idk what I’ll do

@cal first class mail supposedly takes 2-3 days. i think it’ll arrive for nearly all of us (if it hasn’t already) by tomorrow. fingers crossed

Well, tomorrow is the moment of truth! Good luck to Y’all! (I’ll be waiting for SFS in sfl!)

school is so painful right now; I CAN’T HANDLE IT

i have never wanted to see my mailbox so badly >.<
