Let me know what they say on the phone! I want to know where my letter is :(

im from MA and i have yet to get my letter. the mail came already and nada

hmm that’s super weird! perhaps the weather has been affecting mail delivery routes in your area.

Updates, anyone?

Here’s a little blurb: I got my scores from the December ACT, and I raised my math and science by 7 points. I now have a 34 composite and a 35 superscore. I actually have some faith for Regular Decision. :)

good job! Just handed in my app. Got a bit carried away with the SFS essay which ended up being 800 words…hopefully they’re gripped. I forgot how small a font I type in so it looked like only a little over a page, at least it wasn’t filled with fluff. Let the waiting begin…

Yeah, it’s better for the essays to be shorter and concise than longer and fluffed up.

Everybody keep the faith. (Les Miserables).

Why Georgetown is da best: I visited the National Archives today to see the Declaration of Independence and then came home and decided to watch National Treasure to celebrate it, and to get a snapchat of the scene where we find out Ben Gates (Nic Cage) went to… Georgetown.

Should we hear about regular decision results before April 1st?

I wish it would come sooner The wait kills!

@MHSgirl5696 According to some previous year threads, I think the decisions mostly came out late March so a little bit before the notification date they have on their website… but you never know

Also, I’m pretty sure Georgetown doesn’t post them online. They mail them. Or at least they have in previous years.

Decisions are mailed in small envelopes. The way to know before you even open the envelope is to check if there’s a blue piece of paper inside. If you have the blue paper, then you’re in.

Unfortunately I didn’t get the opportunity to open my letter. My sister opened it while I was at school xD

So, does anyone have any predictions on when they’ll send letters? I read some old threads and figured out they usually send them on the Thursday the Ivies release (except for one year when it was Tuesday), but I’m wondering/hoping if they might release a bit earlier than normal since the applicant pool decreased.

do those living overseas get mail too? or email?

The applicant pool decreased like an insignificant amount, so.

International get emails.

How do you guys know that the applicant pool decreased? Do you suppose that the acceptance rate of 17% will remain?

They mentioned it in an article on their home site i believe. I remember reading it somewhere.

Admissions office says it’ll either be April 1 or the Friday before that.

I hope its the Friday before!
