Georgetown Class of 2018 (HS Class of 2014)

^Questions are getting weirdly specific. It’s a normal letter envelope. You’ll get it tomorrow or Monday.

@hotspurs What do you mean “the number dropped” - the acceptance rate or did it include the number waitlisted?

Would any domestic applicants who have already received their letters mind sharing the state they live in? I’m trying to figure out if I’ll get mine tomorrow or Monday…

@CSIHSIS I am just curious, no need to sass. And thank you very much for the reiteration that it will come saturday or monday…
;))

@impressionistic the number of applicants total dropped like 2% or something

Hey, I am an international student, but currently am studying in the US. My selected mailing address is that of my high school in Massachusetts. Am I gonna get an email or snail mail? Haven’t received an email btw. Thanks!

My son got his letter today and we are in MD.

@whatsgucci123 If you set your mailing address in the U.S., then you will receive a snail mail. And what part of MA do you live in? I mean, I don’t want the name of your town, but is it NW mass or SE? I live an hour away from Northampton to the north, that’s why. If you live in southern part of MA and still haven’t gotten it, it might mean that I will get the letter on Monday… But if you live somewhere around Northampton, we might get the mail tomorrow together…

@hotspurs Ah, I see. Hopefully that helps our chances.

@spidermom03 Thank you!

Admitted to Georgetown SFS! My absolute dream school. This will take a long time to sink in
Got my acceptance via email as I am a US citizen living in Australia!

@DesperatePal , I live in a town very close to Boston

@whatsgucci123 Ah, so we are irrelevant.

@spidermom03 Was it late in the afternoon or early in the morning? Thanks.

after being rejected by Princeton and Stanford then waitlisted by Harvard, Georgetown is now my number 1! Nervous about decisions but i’ll probably have to wait a little longer since i live in Hawaii :(( If it doesnt work out, I’ll be at UVA

I will also be at UVA if Georgetown doesn’t work out…looks like I’ve had the exact same experience with rejections as you have…

What a coincidence! I’ll probably be at UVA too if I don’t get in to Georgetown. I’m also waiting on some scholarships for other schools.

@DesperatePal Don’t know. We were out all day, so didn’t get our mail until we got home. I think that the mail usually comes in the early afternoon.

good luck to everyone else!

I’ll be at CMU if I don’t get into Georgetown McDonough! Good luck to everyone! This year was brutal…
I was waitlisted to NYU Stern… :(

@spidermom03 Gotcha.

I think I won’t receive a mail until Monday, since my school post office is closed, so I won’t see anything in my mailbox even if the USPS delivers the letter today. I go to boarding school, and I set mailing address as my school P.O. Box… Oh well, gotta wait patiently.

@megan702 yeah I’m in the same exact situation. Georgetown has always been my dream school but if I don’t get into Georgetown I’ll be going to CMU

Could those of you who received letters in the mail post what general area you are from? Anxiously awaiting the mail! Congratulations to all those who were accepted!!
