***GEORGETOWN CLASS OF 2021 APPLICANT THREAD***

@class0f2017 I interpreted it the same way as you, that it seems OK. But you are right…if others are submitting three great subject tests, could that be an issue?? I think it is much less of an issue during the EA round and you will have them for RD, so I think you are covered. But I understand your being a bit unsettled about it…

@NikkuWadde I think it’s great that you are able to demonstrate your academic interests and curiosity in wanting to study race relations in the Middle East. I would think this is a huge positive aspect of your application, especially given all that is going on in the world. I think it will only help your application. Good luck!

So excited! Just found out I got a four year ROTC scholarship to Georgetown. Now I just have to get in

Congrats!!! So exciting!

Hey everyone! I was an EA admit last year and am now a freshman here at Georgetown. I know this is an exciting and stressful time, so I wanted to leave a quick word of advice that I wish I had heard this time last year:

Stop obsessing over this website.

Seriously, no one here can chance you or give any better insight to your chances of admission than you can. You’ve all worked hard to get to this point. Some of you will get in, some of you won’t. But at this point it is out of your hands and you’ve done the best you could. Take solace in that (and finish this semester on a strong note so that admissions gets a good mid-year report if you’re deferred)!

@2016senior2020 Thanks so much. I needed to hear that. I like this website for the community and information it offers but at this point, I’m ready to accept whatever comes my way. (Hopefully one my options will include Georgetown, but we’ll see, won’t we?)

Anyway, as December 15th inches closer, just want to say thanks and reiterate that we’re all talented, hardworking individuals with bright futures!

Also, @2016senior2020, since you’re at Georgetown now, is Leo’s really as bad as people say? :stuck_out_tongue:

@ecrivain934 or anyone… Are letters put in the mail by Georgetown on the 15th or should we receive them on the 15th?

@c011e9e we should receive them by the 15th or a few days earlier

Hey everyone! I submitted EA for Georgetown. Is there anyway to check application status or to make sure everything was received, such as test scores? It stinks Georgetown does not have that explicit application status option like other schools; it gives serious piece of mind when we’re able to see if everything has been received:/

I think they will email you if they are missing anything @teenstogether123

Hey everyone! I am applying EA to Georgetown as my reach school. It really is my dream school because of all of the international opportunities, but I don’t think my resume stacks up to most other people. What do you guys think?

also applying to georgetown college hoping to study biology and neuroscience

will I be considered if I send the application without the subject tests?

@AnArcticMonkey Applying EA or RD?
Because if EA, they say that your application will be seen as complete even without subject tests, but recommend you still take them in the case that you are deferred.
If you’re applying RD, I’m sure they would still consider your application, but if they compare you to someone else with the same stats, and they have subject tests and you don’t, it’s highly possible they would select the other candidate.

@c011e9e applying RD and thanks

Reading all these people’s stats and feeling extremely unqualified. Haha. I dreamt I was REJECTED by early action, guys. So much stress.

Can anybody help me. I think I meet a huge issue. I applied georgetown ea this year. However, I didn’t realize if I ea georgetown, I cant ed any other school. I have both ed another school and ea georgetown. What can I do now? Should I withdraw one of school’s application?
