Anyone else not able to submit part 3 of the application, request for transcript?

@Sonofabraham is it possible to not submit your SAT score? Georgetown admissions office said they do not participate in score selection and explained you cannot select which score you send from a testing service they want the full testing history the service has for you. Left me thinking that works great for the kid who isn’t happy with their ACT score and doesn’t want to send it but the kid who has a higher ACT and would rather not submit the SAT score is going to have to because they require 3 SAT subj tests they want your full testing history.

@paveyourpath I believe what they mean by that is if you are submitting SAT, you have to submit all SAT sittings; ACT, you have to submit all ACT sittings; SAT Subject, all SAT Subject sittings.

SAT Subject Tests do not count as SAT, to the best of my knowledge.

@SonOfAbraham Your interpretation makes sense! I’ll have my son follow up but what you are saying does make sense. Thanks!

I’m worried about the whole thing about needing three subject tests. I’m going to be taking two in October, and I’d probably have to take one in November as well. Would I be able to apply Early Action?

@NikkuWadde You definitely have a shot. Prep for the SAT and send scores straight to Georgetown.

@luvquizbowl Yes, you can apply EA. The Subject Tests are not even required. Also you can take 3 tests the October sitting and have them sent straight to Georgetown.

Oh, I can take three in one sitting? Wild. Thanks. I assumed that since they recommended three, they were essentially required.

@luvquizbowl They highly recommend 3. However, they state that if you are applying EA and have not taken the 3 subj tests they will review the app without them. If you get accepted you are done. If you are deferred, they suggest you supplement your app with the 3 subj test scores. The subj tests are 1 hour each and you can take up to 3 during one test sitting.

Hey guys, for letters of Recommendation, how do teachers submit them? Do they get like an email notification when I submit the school report thing? Do I have to get them all at once and have them uploaded at once? I’m not ready to Submit the school report page, but I want my recs uploaded.

Took SAT Subject Tests in June and don’t think I did as well as I would have liked… I am applying EA to Georgetown and am retaking the three subject tests Oct. 1st… If my scores can increase to where I want them to be (around 780 each) will the first scores play a role in the decision process? I submitted all three scores to georgetown automatically… Thanks

@islandersfan1 Yes, the first scores will play a role. Georgetown looks at all sittings of each test you send.

Wow everyone has near perfect test scores so far on this thread.

Not me @class0f2017 I’ve only got a 31 :))
