For those of you who have been deferred, continue to express your interest with the school. GT has been my daughter’s first choice for along time. She applied EA last year and was deferred, during regular decision she was then “wait-listed”. She then committed herself to another competitive California school. Always, hoping GT would reachout to her. They finally did and now she is a freshman there. I know reading these forums helped her but at the same time also gave her stress. Keep pushing forward, show your interest and don’t give up hope! Good Luck to you all!
S21 did 3 unrelated mini paragraphs and was accepted EA.
@saga9497 American U or Middlebury College? Best of luck.
Hello, I am applying to Georgetown university RD. For those admitted, did you submit your entire testing record?
I hope so because Georgetown is only test optional for applicants who have not been able to take a test. If an applicant has taken tests, it’s the same policy as always…submit all scores, no score choice.
If I got 2 5s, 2 4s but a 3 and a 2, should I submit my AP scores?
I wouldn’t. Seeing a 2 and 3 at a school like Georgetown could hurt you. Hope this helps!
Does anyone know how Georgetown weighs the SAT? Took it twice in Sept/Oct and bombed the second…do they average?
did you/are you submitting a picture with your application?
@doomam3, as @Mwfan1921 mentions a few posts ago, Georgetown requires that if you were able to take the test, all test scores should be submitted.
Thank you for replying. Yes, I understand that part, just wondering if they take the average of the scores in their determination. I guess its a moot point since its already been submitted
@cutesnowy How has your daughter’s freshman experience at Georgetown been?
Are RD decisions rolling or all released on the same day?
From reading posts from previous years, it appears to be released all at once. We have a long wait!
Does anyone know how many people applied to Georgetown for the class of 2025?
Do you know when they plan to release regular decisions?
I haven’t heard a set date but am assuming late March, maybe even early April? If someone knows, please post!
i was deferred EA and in the deferral notification they said on or before april 1. not trying to be too optimistic, as applications nationwide have gone up an avg of 20%, plus the fact that many other colleges are pushing out the date they release decisions, i’m guessing it won’t be any earlier than April 1
Applications (at least common app) are flat (unique applicants up 1%), it’s only the highly selective schools that are experiencing these large increases:
at the same time, EA came out on the 13th, so I wouldnt rule anything out
