georgetown college essay question

i'm applying to georgetown college, and i was wondering if it would be okay to talk about how i'm interested in international relations even though i'm not applying to the school of foreign service?

because i also talk about studying french...

but i guess it might be totally out of place since the college doesn't offer a major in intl studies?

ahh.. idk help!

also, for the first essay about myself, i'm guessing i can't use my common app essay .. i used the prompt about an individual who has influenced me. so no, right? ha

i’m not sure about mentioning ir, but i think it’ll be fine since you’re just talking about your interests, and transferring schools is always an option. and if your range of interests extends beyond ir, they’ll understand why you’re applying to the college instead of sfs.

as for the first essay, it just asks for something that describes you so i think it’s fine to use your common app essay. that’s what i did (prompt 1 about a significant experience, i wrote about protesting) and i got in ea.
