Georgetown SAT Subject Scores?

I’m searching for the average Subject scores of applicants admitted to Georgetown, specifically Georgetown College, and I haven’t found any exact answers although I assume it’s at least 700. I took the Literature and U.S. History tests and scored a 730 on both of them, so I’m hoping those are acceptable because I didn’t take the recommended third test. I know the normal SAT carries more weight than Subject tests but I appreciate any insight you guys can give me.

the 730s won’t be why you do- or don’t- get in. and, knowing the averages won’t make any difference now.

They don’t publish an average for subject test scores because the average varies a lot depending on which test you take. For example, if you take a language one, the averages are likely to be much higher because many of the people who take those are native speakers or fluent, so it doesn’t make sense to take averages between a French subject test and a physics subject test, when the disparity between scores is so high.

@masquerade98 your example is incorrect. The overall mean for the Physics test is 671. French (reading) is 623.

Your 730 are very good scores. But it is just one small part of your academic record. As a point of reference my DS got accepted EA (SFS) with 760 Math 2, 710 World, 700 US History, and 570 French.

I got in EA this year with a Math Level II of 800, and World History of 760. Only did two, but I kind of used an AP test score of 5 for the third one.

I got in EA with a 720 Math 2 and 750 Biology so you should be fine.

I was accepted to Georgetown SFS EA. My subject tests were: 780 Spanish, 710 Literature, 690 Math. (ACT was 35 and I’m international so this might have offset the mediocre Sat II scores).

Hey, I was accepted EA with Biology M 750, Math II 750 and 700 (second time – whoops). So I basically only had two subject tests; I’m pretty sure you’ll be fine.

I got in EA with just one subject test (French 790, I am not a native speaker). My SAT was 1530 and I think all of my essays were very well-written and unique, probably the strongest part of my application

Honestly I don’t think the subject tests are as important if you have other strong parts of your application. I got in EA and I didn’t take any subject tests, so I’d suggest not worrying.

This thread is very reassuring. is a 4.0 necessary to be accepted?

I don’t think so. My gpa was a 3.7 the time I got accepted.
