Hi all!
I’m planning to apply to Georgetown, but I’m worried about my subject test scores being a detrimental factor to my application. Two of them are alright (a 770 Math II score and a 710 US History score) but my third is a 670 Spanish w/o listening score. Will this be a real issue for my application? More generally, how much weight do subject tests have on Georgetown admissions? Thanks in advance!
Not an expert but I have seen people post significantly lower SAT subject test scores who got in EA in the last few days. Also, two of the three, math and US History seem more than “good enough”, assuming your other stats and activities are solid. Some did have all three or even two subject tests. Good luck!
shouldn’t be an issue… i got in with 5 subject test scores with a wide range lol. 800/700/670/620/610/460 (yes the 460 was a major yikes)
My daughter is freaking out that she is going to get a B for her Ap Cal this semster. Her current GPA is 3.93/4.0.
She also worried about her subjects 750 literature 720 us history but 670 math2. Her other stats are fine
sat 1540, act 33
She is going to apply RD
@wingjuer Tell her not to worry about the B. It won’t matter in the grand scheme of things. And low subject tests also won’t sink an application either, especially since her other scores are well within Georgetown’s range. Tell her to focus on essays–that’s where she can show who she is as a person.
Thanks so much for your comments.
