Georgetown (SFS) vs Notre Dame (Mendoza) vs Amherst

Hi everyone, I have never really used this site before, but I was wondering if I could get some outside perspective on what college will help me achieve my goals the best. After college, I would like to serve in the military and then afterward get my MBA and then eventually work for some international corporation.

At Georgetown, I am thinking I would major in Global Bussiness and Chinese, at Notre Dame I would major in International Economics and Marketing (minor in Chinese), and at Amherst, I would want to major in Economics and Asian Languages & Civilizations.

I received a ROTC scholarship at each of these schools, so money is not an issue. I was also waitlisted at Northwestern, Brown, and UPenn.

They are all excellent schools, but given your goals, Georgetown seems to be the best choice largely because of location.

In terms of overall academics and typical career outcomes, Amherst is the best bet. But you have to want the LAC experience.

Congrats! Each of these outstanding schools offers a different environment (one LAC, one in DC, one in the MIdwest) and each will allow you to meet your personal goals if you do well there.

Doesn’t look like you can make a wrong decision here, congrats! Good luck, I’m sure you’ll be happy at any of these schools!
