georgetown: strong in humanities?

It seems to be very strong in politics and foreign languages, but what about english literature and other humanities areas? I don't hear any mention of these subjects when people discuss georgetown's strong points, so how are they? also, how is georgetown's fin aid for transfers? thanks.

actually, that is what everyone confuses Gtown about. They are not particulary strong in political science or politics. what they are strong in--international relations. Other than that, Gtown is not too strong in anything.

Georgetown is not bad, but I would choose other schools if your only interest is in the sciences.

um nspeds, show me more than one department other than international relations and i'll give you some foreign languages that Gtown is ranked in the top 10 or top 15?

You can do the research by yourself, but as an initial step in your disabuse, I present:

In addition, Georgetown is not ranked #23 for nothing. The popular argument is that the SFS accounts for its high ranking, but if anything, it is deleterious to Georgetown because of the preponderance of part-time faculty. Georgetown might not be the best in a lot of disciplines, but we have decent programs that should be considered.

To be sure, they are considered by many applicants; that is, by applicants who look to more than the average SAT and GPA of matriculating students cough cough.
