What's the deal with Georgetown?

There's nothing wrong with it. I just have no idea what it really is. What majors is it known for? What is the academic atmosphere like? Is it liberal or conservative? please tell me anything and everything about georgetown. I know I have a good chance of getting in, but I'm not sure if I should apply there or not. (I won't be able to visit anytime soon either). Thanks in advance for the replies!

"protests are better attended than football games"

That's because our Football team is not very good, at all. Lost every game abysmally so far.

I've done my research and I've decided that I won't be applying to Georgetown. Thanks for the help everyone.
