Georgetown Student Advantage Card?

A question for students & parents:

Is the Georgetown Student Advantage Card worth getting?

It costs $20 for one year and $50 for all four years.

Our son probably won't use the Amtrak discount (unless he uses Amtrak to visit friends in NYC???).

Are the other discounts worthwhile????

Your advice is most appreciated.

What exactly is it and who issues / sells it? Our son is going to Georgetown this fall and I am not familiar with it.

I think the card is well worth it for a few things. For example, if you want the Wall Street Journal it gives a great student price – I may not remember this correctly but something like $150/year which is under half price and I think includes the online journal. This could be sent to your home as well as college. There are discounts for cell phone service, too, which would apply to the whole family if your student is on the account.
