<p>The short answer is no. But they do give you a taste of college life and it also shows that you had a productive summer (shows that you didn't just sit on your behind all summer).</p>
<p>it really helps in terms of you being able to explain why you want to go to georgetown (i shamelessly talked about wisemillers, the tombs, and common grounds at my interview, which i think helped a lot). and it speaks to what kind of student you are, since you take the initiative to learn during the summer.</p>
