Georgetown summer school

I am doing a lead america national leadership conference in the Medical field at Georgetown this summer.
I am also interested in doing a six week summer bio course at Gergetown next summer. Will my summer school program increase my chances of getting in to Georgetown?

No. I don't want to break your bubble, but many people can get into these programs. It will look nice to colleges that you're staying busy and intellectually challenging yourself. However, I highly doubt it will increase your chances of getting into Georgetown.

Take APs, do well on SATS, nail the interview, and, most importantly keep your GPA up.

I did summer school at Georgetown last summer, and was waitlisted. Out of all the kids in my session, it seems as if less than the actual national rate were accepted. Don't bother

It definitley can't hurt your chances..and it depends what you do with your time there other than go to class and study. I think the summer session offers a great opportunity to meet other people on campus who could advocate for you. It shows interest and I like to think that interest means something if you can make some other connections while there. I did the same thing last summer at a different school that I thought was a slight reach for me and then applied ED I and got in. Go for it.

I think it might be different with Georgetown as they have EA. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it harder to show your commitment to the school if you could still apply/go somehwere else. I.E. you're not binding yourself to Gtown. You will probably learn a lot and it might provide some good essay topics (relating to your potential major) but please don't get your hopes up or think it's an automatic "in".
