Georgetown Transfer Questions

You have a good chance nina

It sucks because people are so much more than "stats" but thats what we're reduced to

plenty of people who heard around early May last year were not contacted previously, nor were they offered an interview.

no interview. sat was a 790m/770v/720w

did you get your letter already?

I got interviewed like t2 or 3 weeks ago

Momma,

I'm sure everyone here wants to know if you got an official letter or if you spoke to someone in admissions and they gave you an unofficial offer of admission.

So which is it?! We're all dying to know!

i got a letter

big or small envelop?

small. relax guys, you'll be fine

Everyone-

We are all extremely stressed out about this process. If you receive notification of your decision, especially if you are accepted, and you choose to post it, be specific. If you want to tell the world you got in then you can tell us how you were notified (letter, email, call, etc.)

Websites like these are supposed to be supportive in this uncertain times. For the good of everyone, please try to resist being aloof. Be straightforward about the details so that people do waste away in front of their computers looking for a response.

Good luck to all. I hope we all hear news one way or the other soon.

I agree!!!
If u dont want to share it, then DONT SHARE IT WITH US AT ALL. That will make things a lot easier.

I'm sorry i didn't post the dimensions of my envelope, it was 3 7/8 x 7 1/8 inches. PM me if you'd like a scanned copy of the letterhead. If 11 minutes is too slow a response time to your questions, I can always just give you my cell number too. And if asking people to relax "in [these] uncertain times" qualifies me as "aloof," maybe you need to reorganize your priorities.

mommaslilinjun, people come to this page to see what's happening with other students who got accepted or rejected. This gives us a place where we can compare stats and try to gauge our positions. If you got into Georgetown, then you obviously have nothing to be ashamed about stats wise. If you're willing to share to ease our minds that's wonderful, if not and you don't wish to contribute anything other than celebrating the fact you got in with a bunch of complete strangers, than that says more about you than anyone else.

Anyway, back to the reason I came here in the first place... Do Transfers get waitlisted and if so, have any of you been waitlisted?

2280 SAT
3.95 college gpa, 3.6 uw hs
i write for a couple magazines in college, started some clubs in high school.
i think my essay was ok, my recs were probably pretty good; i had been extended waitlisted last year, then put on a "priority list for transfer," which is probably why i heard so early. if you need to know anything else, message me.

hey mommas,
you seem like a pretty chill kid, congratulations. i also was in the same situation as u with the priority list for transfer, do u think i should hear soon as well

from what i heard, if you are on the "priority list" and did decently well in your first semester of college it should be almost guaranteed... i don't know how soon you'll hear but i think (and hope) you should expect good news

I just sent an email to one of the representatives. but she'll be out of office from May 7th to 11th...oh..man..!!!

hey mommas,
well I got a 3.86 last semester and I lead a research project and was part of the grad student choir, does this sound decent? also i was wondering where you heard that it is almost guaranteed. thank so much
