Georgetown admissions Twitter is activeeeee! Hasn’t tweeted anything about decision letters but they did retweet the Georgetown University Twitter account, which means they are at least online!
@silverlemon @justliviglife I know exactly how y’all feel! My second choice School is Vandy (it sucks that I fell in love with 2 extremely selective schools) and I can’t really apply EDII to Vandy if I get deferred because If I later get into gtown I would still go there over Vandy… ugh!!!
THEY DID IT IT’S SENT OUT
THEY JUST TWEETED! They’re officially in the mail!
YAYYY GUYS!!
“Signed, sealed, and (soon-to-be) delivered - the Office of Undergraduate Admissions mailed Early Action decision letters for the Class of 2022 today! Hoya Saxa! #Hoyas2022”
@maddyduv Yes! And Vandy’s ED acceptance rate is so much higher than its RD:/ I didn’t know they even had ED II until today.
does anyone know if they’re still going to be calling accepted students? i think they did last year but i haven’t heard anything about it this year
@cornfield I read somewhere that they still do that, mostly so they can get you started on filling out forms and other formalities so yea I think they’re doing it this year too.
What states should expect their letters tomorrow?
The states closest to D.C??? Idk, your guess is as good as anyone else. I think it depends on whether they send it out as priority first class mail or regular mail. @polisci2022
@cornfield Just to clarify, they aim to call after people receive their letters. There have definitely been times when people have been called before getting their letter, but if they call it’ll be after the 15.
@polisci2022 I would say what ecort said. If you’re in D.C., Maryland, Virginia, etc., I’d keep your eyes on the mail. I’m from TX, so I’m not expecting mine until Friday or Saturday
When do you think people in California will get their letters?!? I’m anxiously awaiting.
@nhtw17 I think it depends on where in CA. If Georgetown uses priority mail (I’m not sure if they do), you can use this website to figure out if it will be 2 or 3 days. Gtown’s zip code is 20007.
I just really hope it arrives on friday because I have been stressing about it for so long
I’ve gotten mail from DC within a day in the past, so hopefully it’ll be here tomorrow!!! good luck everyone!!
Based on past years, if you live in/around the DC area you should receive the letter tomorrow. If you live in a large populated city you will most likely receive it on the 15th. Most other places should receive it by the 16th.
I believe Georgetown uses First Class Mail meaning it can take anywhere from 1-3 days to arrive
@nhtw17 I’m from Los Angeles! I would expect to hear back on Friday and if not then Saturday. Let me know if you hear anything. Good luck to you!
