Just got an email from an admission officer (she contacted me before for missing standardized test scores) and I got accepted to the college! I’m in NY by the way so don’t lose hope anyone!! She told me that I would get the decision letter in the next few days. Good luck to everyone still waiting for a response!!
@joselinelulu Congratulations!
@joselinelulu congrats, can you provide your stats?
Are there any results from SFS? I barely see no news regarding SFS… I emailed two deans and got no reply yet…
Thanks!! Okay so my stats are not great at least I feel like… I went to a private high school in MA and my unweighted gpa is 90 and weighted 92. I currently go to a university in NY and my gpa first semester is 3.79 and spring semester 3.82. My sat scores: cr 700 math 770 (GU only looks at math and cr). So my stats are definitely not perfect and I submitted my application really really late like around March 27. My essays are very personal and I talked mostly about my experience as a learner and how I discovered my true passions. Also, i didn’t have an interview because my application was so late but I felt like my recommendation is really good from my French professor. I applied to the college in the faculty of linguistics. I hope this helps anyone who is currently anxious to hear the decision. I was in the same place in the past few weeks and this forum has really helped me, so good luck to everyone and I know you’ll all be great wherever you choose to go.
@joselinelulu congrats!! Did you email anyone or did they just send it to you?
@ilovedc22 thank you! a few days ago I forwarded my final grades from the spring semester to the admissions officer who then replied me to thank me for my email and additional information. She then told me that she wanted to give me a heads up and told me I was accepted and should expect an official email and mail in the next few days. So with that being said, I feel like there is definitely another wave of decisions coming…I just happened to find out about mine early. Good luck!!
@joselinelulu which admissions officer?? thanks so much
@ilovedc22 mine was Berkley Braden. She was the one who’s been emailing me since April when she was asking for my standardized test scores. I think it depends on your location though.
@joselinelulu Would there be a way to find out who our regional officer is? Mine has never emailed me.
Anyone know about Georgetown’s financial aid packages and how generous they tend to be?
has anyone heard from georgetown??
how many students has georgetown accepted to the college so far? seems like everyone here was mcd or sfs. is that right
Still nothing from Georgetown…rejected?
I called early this morning and asked why some people had received decisions before June 1st and the person on the phone said something along the lines of admissions officers/offices finishing their stack at different times and that’s how the decisions are sent out, some are still going through applications and that they would try to have all decisions out by the end of this week if possible.
@PetitPoivron Perhaps there is still some hope for us then? :3
anyone heard anything?
All quiet. This stinks
Just got accepted an hour ago. Looks like they’re still coming out so keep your heads up!!!
@ilovedc22 congrats!!! What school? And what state do you live in?
