Georgetown Vs UMich Ross Vs UVA vs UNC Vs Emory Goizueta ( Full Scholarship) for undergrad business

Hi All,
My son got into the business program at all the above colleges. He is seriously considering Ross, Georgetown and Emory. I know Ross is rated #4 and Georgetown and Emory tie at #15 for the undergrad business program as per US News Ranking. Until recently he had almost made his mind to go to Ross business school. However he was selected as the Finalist as part of the Emory Scholars program. He was part of the 15 scholar finalists that were interviewed at Emory to spend 4 days where they learnt more about the program and went through couple of interviews.

Emory got back to him recently with their offer.

  1. Full tuition merit scholarship for 4 years of the undergrad study ($200,000)
  2. Sponsorship of 1 year summer study abroad
  3. Mentoring and working closely with the Dean of Undergrad BBA program
  4. Priority registration for all the courses and housing.

This offer seems so attractive and unbelievable to us. However, we just want to know if we are giving up something at the other colleges to go to Ross. ( As per the rating, Ross is rated much higher in business programs and placement the wall street firms). But the exclusive attention and the scholarship are something that we are not ready to give up.

He is mostly interested in going into the financial industry and work in IB at the big banks.

Please share your thoughts and any experiences that could help us decide…

Thank you!!

Posting other a different name? I don’t understand that.

And if you’re going to look at rankings, at least look at more than one:

@Imagine73 For IB, Ross would be the best. Look up feeder schools for Wall Street and investment banking specifically.
