Georgetown

I'm interested in applying to Georgetown, but I'm not sure if I should apply to the McDonough School of Business or the Walsh School of Foreign Service. The acceptance rates vary between the two, year to year, but are both roughly 20%. Walsh's median CR was 680-780, business was 640-740; Walsh's median math was 670-770, business was 670-770.

My credentials are abridged as follows:

SAT CR: 730
SAT Math: 690
SAT Writing: 790 (I don't think Georgetown looks at Writing)
APUSH: 5
SAT World History: 780
SAT USH: 800
SAT Math II: 660

First in a class of ~170, 98.3 average with four (max allowed) AP courses.

Former State President of FBLA, National Executive Treasurer and National Communications Director in FBLA, current State Executive VP of FBLA,

Handful of leadership positions within my school, student rep to different Board of Ed. committees, Big Brothers Big Sisters.

I live in a very rural, white community and have had little opportunity to express my interest in international relations (a suggestion for Walsh applicants, I believe).

You shouldn’t make your decision on which is more selective, especially since they’re pretty close. You seem like a good candidate so just pick whichever one offers more of what you’re looking for.
