@sunbeams @ismitah , I second that motion!! Can you guys put the link up on this discussion once you do make a uga thread?

That should be the link! It’s on the UGA page.
Tech >>> UGA
How abut that football game last year?
@Hermit9
I quite literally know nothing about football
Lol, same. I went with friends tho. I only cheered when other ppl cheered. It was fun tho.
@ismitah Neither does Georgia if they lost to Tech!
Roast
lol
HAHAHA
Has anybody’s status changed from ‘File under review’ to ‘Decision made’ ?
Mines has been under review for like 10 days
Still under review. It may stay under review till January.
Meanwhile, lots of drama over at the UGA camp, which released early yesterday. Out of my In-State class of 69, 21 applied there early with an average of 4.4 GPA and 2000/30 SAT/ACT and less than half got accepted early. This only means that Tech is going to be even harder to get in early.
Best of luck to everyone.
techs release said they got 14,200 EA applications this year. 3,000 more than last year.
Wow. does it say whether its more out of state or in state?
Nope.
So my SAT’s aren’t that great. I personally am Happy, but speaking in terms of tech(and those that comment on CC)- its not too good. Particularly my reading and writing are ehh, in the sense that reading is 670, writing is 690, and math is 800.
Do you guys think that the 800 on math will help me in tech in the sense that the admission rep might just say "oh, she got a 670 in reading. That’s ehh. But oh look! She got an 800 on math. That’s more important! "
or will they be like “670 on reading- ehh. 800 on math. Okay, getting somewhere, but then again- all our students have 800 on math.”
I
@Xboxgamergirl You have a 1470 2-score, which is above 50th percent. If you’re in-state, you’re in really good shape. Out-of-state, an you’ve still got a good shot.
I’m in state, thanks

@Rahulbarcafan I think you have a good a chance as any. Your math scores are strong, which is a positive. What is your intended major? Also, the TOEFFL will be critical in admission since you’re an international applicant. You have a 26 on your ACT reading which, in my opinion, is an indicator that you know your way around the English language fairly well. However, be over prepared for the test.
Hope that helps
Does anyone know how to calculate a gpa for the Zell Miller/HOPE scholarships?
Also when calculating an un-weighted gpa, does it matter if a course is .5 credits or 1 credit? How do I account for that? In other words, how do I calculate my GPA on a 4 point scale?
