I applied EA- its my first decision; anyone on this thread apply for Environmental Engineering?
Thanks @darthraider I didn’t think about reading their replies to people. That’s not too far from last year’s in state admit rate.
So do they consider your major when they look at your application??
Also who else is trying to stay up as late as possible so they don’t have to wait in the morning
@piday314 Me. Gameplan is to stay awake for as long as possible and then wake up around 12
@mreus10 Same. I can tell that I am going to wake up around 8 though from nerves
@piday314 definitely me. I don’t want to be up until its past the time the portal opens, but knowing myself I’ll probably wake up at 9am and wait in agony for 3 hours
@bsaun99 lucky for me i’m not EST so mine comes out at 11
@bsaun99 what major did you apply for?
@piday314 In regard to your other question, major definitely matters. They can only take certain numbers for every college. There are also different stats for every college.
anyone tried poking around the buzzport to see if theres any hints to whether we were accepted? CS + OOS + asian is a deadly combo…
@throwawayok haha a pretty competitive combo…are you a girl? that’d help
where is the admission decision going to be on buzzport?
12 hours!! hang in there everyone
West Coast here - staying up late then wake up and BAM! There it is! Good luck everyone! (GT Alum BEE 89 / MEE 90 with kid applying)
GT posted on their news board that 4,677 students were admitted through early action this year. the stats include:
"This year 18,124 students applied through Early Action, a 16 percent increase over last year. The admit rate for this round is 26 percent overall - 46 percent for Georgia students and 19 percent for those from out of state.
The middle 50 percent range of SAT scores was 1390-1530 out of 1600. The middle 50 percent range of the composite ACT score was 32-35 out of 36."

WHO ELSE IS SUPER NERVOUS-
@laughsnervously ME. I LITERALLY AM REFRESHING THIS PAGE EVERY 3 SECONDS BC IM SO SCARED
whats also interesting is that they said in that article: “Interestingly, 47 percent of the admitted students are non-engineering majors.”
yea i’m trying to stay up late so i wake up around 9 pst and don’t have to wait around nervously & anxiously!! oos + asian for ee so it’s not looking too good.
only thing i have going for me is that i’m a girl
I have to work when decisions come out. Low key going to check and lose it at work.
