I was recently denied admission to my Fall 2019 term at Georgia Tech. However, in the letter, I was offered the opportunity to transfer to GT for my Fall 2020 term using the Georgia First Pathway Program. I then did some research on the program at the GT website and one particular portion of it was eye opening. It stated that “Students choosing to stay at another institution beyond one year of matriculation or who are unable to complete the requirements below will need to apply and be reviewed in our regular, competitive transfer applicant pool.” Since it mentioned that those who miss the deadline, or are unable to fulfill the requirements will be required to apply and be reviewed in a REGULAR COMPETITIVE TRANSFER APPLICANT POOL, does that imply that this transfer pathway guarantees me admission like the Conditional Transfer Pathway?
A friend’s child was offered this last year. It is conditional, and you must maintain the GPA stated in your letter. Last year, I think it was a 3.3. Not impossible, but also not easy. Good luck!
