georgia tech / oxford / usc/ imperial for a masters in computer science

I have the opportunity to join any of these 4 universities for a masters of computer science. can anybody help me out with which one I should be choosing i am kind of inclined towards georgia tech but i hear that there are some safety issues on campus. please advise anyone???

thanks

There was a safety issue in GA Tech a while back, but it wasn’t a huge deal. My brother went to GA State University (which is next to GA Tech), and he said there was no safety issues for him.

OP, are you an international student? if you are, where would you like to work someday?

i would like to work in a place like microsoft or google,establishing/joining a startup in the area human computer interaction something i maybe willing to explore, how much do you think it will affect my choice???

Go with Imperial College/Oxford. Imperial College is on par with MIT and a degree from Oxford is highly respected in Europe, America, and Asia.

I mean which country? If you’re okay with the idea of working in the UK, then Oxford and Imperial are unmatched.

any thoughts about computer science at georgia tech??

I feel like I’ve responded to this thread before. On campus at GT is quite safe. I come to campus at all hours and have never had a problem. I have to say though, the CS program is pretty tough; I would consider it a notch tougher than the engineering for sure.

Imperial and Cambridge are the two most highly distinguished computing degrees in the UK and probably in Europe. Oxford comes close but is not on par. Just thought I’d clarify this if you are interested in prestige of the particular course.

Naturally if you favour the amazing scenery of Oxford you’d hardly be very hindered by choosing that program, no one would frown upon it.
