Hello,
I am currently a freshman finance major at UGA who is seeking to transfer to Georgia Tech for the spring of 2017 as an Industrial engineer major. I was wondering what my chances were . The website lists an average of 67 hours (minimum is 30) with a 3.67 GPA. I will have completed all the pre-reqs for the IE major and have at least 30 hours transferable with a 4.0 GPA. I was wondering if applying with less than 67 would increase my chances of transferring or would it be detrimental? Also, I heard transfers aren’t allowed to switch majors, is this true? I will have completed all the pre-reqs but it is “recommended” to have linear algebra which I won’t have completed at the time would that jeopardize my chances? i will be applying fall of 2016 for the spring 2017 semester and I was wondering if GT would look at the classes that I am currently enrolled in at UGA?
Thank you
