Georgia Tech vs Emory, but still sad to be waitlisted at Rice

Pre-med or general mathematics major.

Internal pro/cons/??

GT pro: way cheaper
good for sciences and math
GT con: not as highly ranked
I've heard about unhappy students and a vicious grading curve
GT ??: I'm a girl and the male/female ratio is around 70/30.

Emory pro: In three way tie for #18 in US News and World Report Rankings
Nice campus
Emory con: still expensive, even with financial aid
lowish public opinion and intellectual reputation
Emory ?? Not an Emory Scholar, at least for this year

Any knowledge or opinions of either school would be very helpful!

Thanks!

Ga Tech should be the easy first choice for science and math. It’s highly rated, prestigious and has great internships leading to employment. Save your money during your undergrad years and go to Emory if you decide to attend grad school.

yeah, GT is a very nice school , plus its way cheaper than emory.
Like ellenfix1 said, save your money for grad school.
