Hello, my major is engineering. I have just been accepted to Georgia Tech. I really want to go there. However, I have accepted the offer from UCLA in like two weeks ago as their deadline to accept or decline the offer was on June 1. I am really confused about the possibility of going to Georgia Tech instead of UCLA. I really need help about this. And if it is possible, is the decision to choose Georgia Tech a good decision?

This is a personal decision you should make with your family. It depends on if you prefer a tech oriented school with a great reputation or an more all around school with great reputation–also Westwood or Atlanta. Also you don’t mention if there are differences in costs, so I assume both are affordable. In general, if you are engineering it is probably a good decision but either will be fine for you.

If you decide you want to go to G Tech, you can accept the offer and send your deposit and at the same time you must write to UCLA to tell them you will no longer be attending, you are going to take a late offer instead. You will lose your deposit but that’s how it goes. It is okay to do because you didn’t get the GT offer until just now.

Thank you replying. I was just not sure whether it would be wrong to no longer attend UCLA as that spot could have been filled by other student had I declined the offer.

are you instate for either? how will each get paid for? how much does each cost you?
what are your parents saying about paying?

Well, I am an international student so both are out of state. Georgia Tech is cheaper by almost 10,000. My parents told me that they will help me pay the tuition fee. Which one do you think will give me a chance to get a better job after I graduate? I really appreciate your help
