Georgia Tech vs. UMD

Ok so it's down to the wire with these decisions here. I got into Georgia Tech, UMD, and UVA. I've already basically ruled UVA out because it has the worst program for my major, and its not in a city.

I'm planning on majoring in Aerospace engineering. I have to decide between Georgia Tech and University of Maryland. Financial aid to both schools is about even, as is the cost. I am in the Honors program for Entrepreneurship at Maryland, and did not make the honors program at Georgia Tech.

Any input would be greatly appreciated

Run the numbers through this calculator, and see if there is a difference in cost for you. That might help: [FinAid | Calculators | Award Letter Comparison Tool](<a href=“Your Guide for College Financial Aid - Finaid”>Award Letter Requirements - Finaid)

If the cost is even, I think GT is a great deal for aerospace engineering. (I wouldn’t worry about not being in the honors program, you’ll be busy enough satisfying all the AE course requirements that the extra honors course requirements would likely be a burden more than a benefit.)

If you are interested in entrepreneurship, you may want to look into the Management & Technology minor (http://mgt.gatech.edu/programs/under/tm/index.html</a>) and/or Entrepreurship certificate ([Georgia Tech - College of Management | Certificates](http://mgt.gatech.edu/programs/under/current/cert/cert_eng_entrep.html)) options at Georgia Tech.
