<p>Either just wait until the list of books becomes available or wait until the first day. If you're really desperate, send your GSI (it is usually GSIs that teach these courses, not professors) an e-mail.</p>

<p>Who exactly did you e-mail? There shouldn't be any professor, only a GSI (Emily Banwell, for example, is a GSI).</p>

<p>glock - All of them should be GSIs. Normally it is GSIs that teach these sort of courses. So, they are not professors and should not be addressed as such. On the first day your GSI will probably tell you how to address him/her (usually they are casual and preferred to be addressed by their first name in class).</p>
