Hello,
I am 1/2 way through my sophomore year at TU and I still want to get out. I have a 3.4 GPA, 1370 SAT and 3.8 HS GPA, come from Georgia. I am in a frat and have a varsity letter as well. What do you think of my chances at Michigan? Any other schools you think I should consider? i am looking for a school with better name recognition/more school spirit/more laid back/no inferiority complex because it is located 3 miles from the best school in the world (harvard).

I think Tufts is an excellent school, who cares what average Joe Smo thinks? Emory in Atlanta is very transfer friendly. The only thing that may keep u down is ur 3.4, is there anyway u can get that to a 3.5-3.6 in the next semester. Like for the top schools (ivies, for example), all want probably 3.5+. However, Tufts is a very respected school and your high school stats seem great. I would recommend applying to Emory and I think you can definetely get into Michigan.

If you want to know anything about Michigan (your chances too), head over to the Michigan board and make a post. Alexandre will reply, he's the most knowledgable about the subject.

thanks for the replies. what about other good public schools like UNC, UVA, UCLA, Berkeley, William and Mary? Anyone at those schools wanna trade? haha

why not transfer to Michigan State? They have great school spirit and most of their students are happy. This is only in the event that you get rejected from Mich. ofcourse.
