Does anyone here have this? I totally missed the info sessions about it, so if you could let me know how they went, what was said, etc. that would be great!

The GET plan is one of the best investments we've ever made. We had a chunk of money come in in 2002 and bought four years worth of units for both of our kids. The unit price was $42 then and the current price is is $66, going up in May. Clearly, college tuition is going nowhere but up.

Our son is completing his freshman year at UW, and we have the GET program pay directly to UW in 3 quarterly installments. Works great! No problems with red tape, missed or mis-posted payments.

My understanding is that units need to be held for a minimum of two years before they can be used, but check their website for full details. http://www.get.wa.gov/ You are not limited to using Washington GET, other plans may be usable by Washington residents -- check it out carefully, though. If you Google "529 comparision" you'll find several sites that compare various 529 plans (which is what GET is).
