I'm an incoming freshman at UMich. I'm hoping to secure a part-time job within my first semester. Will it be hard for me to find a job there? (I don't have a car, so I'm limited to applying to places on campus/within reasonable walking distance)
I've been checking the UM student job opportunities website daily and there's not much that I qualify for being posted!

Well there are plenty of places downtown that will need part time workers, I’m sure you could get a job at like starbucks or something. maybe try looking in annarbor.com or something.

u of m has a ton of jobs for students and they pay good as hell too. google university of michigan student jobs or something

the dining hall always has spot open, and was $9/hr last year. It’s easy too.

It’s the best to transfer, it’s how I got a job at the Borders Flagship store last year (closing down now, but yeah…). But if you’ve worked somewhere that has a branch in Ann Arbor, you should get in as they don’t have to pay for training. Start applying/calling now because a bunch of places need help for the school year, as it gets a LOT busier.

hey square i was just offered a job at bursley dining hall. can you make your own hours? and I heard it was easy, just curious if there was maybe any possible downtime lol
