I’m interested in attending McGill,
I’d major in Computer Science, Statistics, or Economics. I’d be going into Science or Arts, but definitely not Commerce. Investment Banking isn’t one of my interest, so I guess it’s not too important that I go to an undergrad business school (is it?). Anyway, I’d pursue a career in IT, market research, as a statistician, or as a business analyst. Is it possible even not coming out with a B.Comm.? I’m guessing it is since job postings usually specify they accept CS or Econ majors, but I just want to make sure.
How hard would it be to find a good-paying job? I understand that as an international student I can work there only for 3 years and gaining permanent residency after this is hard, but still I’d like to be able to start a successful career given that I maintain good grades, network, etc. even if I have to move eventually.
Also, I know Montreal’s economy isn’t great for these majors – so how would a degree from McGill fair in Toronto?
Thank you!
