I know there have been quite a few topics on this, but none addressing my specific concern. I had a terrible marking period last quarter due to family issues, hockey issues, health issues, etc. For the third marking period, I have a D in one class that involved a lot of busy work to which I simply didn't have the time and energy to devote. The D is averaged out with an A and a B+ for the previous 2 marking periods, so at worst it will be a C for the year. Will a D on one marking period hurt? Also, my teacher has said that if I turn in the work he can retroactively change my grade to a C. Will Chicago rescind my acceptance for a poor grade in one marking period?

It won't get rescinded. Just explain in a brief letter.

Everyone always worries about this. You're not going to be rescinded.

Search old threads... Don't worry about it.

"Also, my teacher has said that if I turn in the work he can retroactively change my grade to a C. "

Get your work turned in and stop fretting :-b

Hope this quarter goes better for you!

I know for a fact that admission offers have been rescinded. Usually, there is set criteria the student did not meet. But I would definitely get rid of that D
