Hi guys, so I’m a freshman in college and in my statistics class the professor set an absence policy where if you miss 6 days or more you are to be removed from that class. Anyway, I was pretty sick the like second or third week of the semester and I missed one or two days and then throughout the semester I’ve missed a day here or there. So today for some reason I have no idea why this happened, my alarm on my phone didn’t go off so I missed my class. What should I do? I want to go talk to my teacher and beg her to let me have another chance because I really NEED this class and I also have a 4.0 I need to maintain, I have a B in the class but if I do well on my final it should bump up to an A. We literally only have two weeks left of class… I really need help and advice, this sucks and I’m really disappointed in myself for letting it get to this point.
You should go talk to them in person and explain what happened. If you’re polite and apologetic they can probably let you keep the class.
It would be best to talk to your professor and explain what happened and what you did to fix it. Good luck!!!..
Also, stop missing class unless you are sick and can get a doctor’s note. College is not high school.
