Getting home...

Does anyone know if there are shuttles that take you from the university (U-Park) to the major airports on holiday breaks? I.e. Philadelphia airport.

Thanks in advance.

There is a bus stop downtown that probably has buses to Philly, I don't know about the airport specifically though. But we do have our own airport here.

There is a bus to Philly and then you'd have to take the train to airport or grab a cab (20 min?). The bus is about $30 and takes about 4 hrs. They run every weekend at various times. You can bus to Pittsburg and NYC too. There is an airport in State college that can bring you into Philly ...about $200? There are also ride boards and sharing ride info. on the PSU website.

I was interested in Sax's comment about buses to NYC. Does anyone know if they run at times other than holidays? In other words, is it convenient for a student to get home to NCY/NJ area for a weekend?

This takes you straight into NYC for $35 one-way or $70 both ways. It is very convenient. It takes you there in 4.5 hours max. I always take it to NYC when I visit for the weekend. I hope you will like it too. Maybe you'll see a fellow CCer on the bus one day. :)
